Whale Finder:

Social Media Analysis of the Blue Whale Challenge

Overview

The Blue Whale Challenge consists of a set of tasks that must be completed in a duration of 50 days and had become a rage on online social media. The tasks of the “game” cause both physical and mental harm to the players with the final task being to take one's own life. Our aim was to understand the social media spread of the challenge and try to identify patterns in the behavior of possible players - victims and propagators.
